ABOUT SSRWSHA

The S.S.R.W.S.H.A. was founded in 1992.  We are a Florida-based, non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and advancement of our fine breeds.

We are governed by a president and a six member board of directors whom our members vote on annually.  The membership is comprised of people representing all walks of life and all levels of involvement in the Racking, Walking and Spotted Saddle horse industry. 

The S.S.R.W.S.H.A. has kept measure with the growth of the industries in the state and today, we are among one of the largest organizations of its kind in the nation. We offer a home base which brings people together that share an interest in the Racking, Walking and Spotted Saddle horse. 

We offer wonderful fellowship and camaraderie, as well as many equine and social activities that provide educational and social opportunities for our members.  With a fun and friendly atmosphere the S.S.R.W.S.H.A. invites everyone from the non-horse owner and the novice owner/rider, to the professional trainer. Everyone is encouraged to show their horse regardless of value or competition level. 

Newcomers are always welcome! The S.S.R.W.S.H.A. encourages people who are not familiar with the Racking, Walking and Spotted Saddle horse to attend one of its many sponsored equine events.

Listed below are a few of these events offered by the SSRWSHA.

  • An average of 7 shows a year with a full slate of classes to fit everyone's pleasure.
  • The versatility/sport-horse belt buckle series shows were added this year.
  • The Sunshine State Celebration - a year-end championship show to celebrate the SSRWSHA members.
  • The SSRWSHA year-end versatility/sport-horse championship show.
  • In January, the annual Year End Banquet is held and many great awards are presented to the members.
  • An informative clinic in January to start the year off.
  • Trail rides
